African Swine Fever kills 36 pigs in Sunsari

KATHMANDU, MAY 20
African Swine Fever (ASF) has killed 36 pigs in Barahakshetra Municipality of Sunsari district, according to the Veterinary Hospital and Livestock Expert Centre, Inaruwa.
Dr Manoj Kumar Mahto, chief of the centre, said ASF infections were confirmed in pigs at three commercial farms in the municipality. At Diyali Agriculture Farm in Barahakshetra-1, 20 pigs were infected and 17 have died. Barah Pig Farm reported 15 infections and seven deaths, while 22 pigs were infected and 12 died at a farm operated by local farmer Subash Shrestha....
