Ten workers and two vets have received preventive treatment with Tamiflu
More than 30,000 chickens are being slaughtered in Almoguera, a town south of Guadalajara, by the suspicion that they may be infected with Avian Influenza. Local sources have explained that the problem started about a week, but veterinarians have been treating animals. Seeing that there was no solution, have started slaughtering birds.
On Friday 9 October was when they started the mass incineration of all poultry infected, presumably by influenza A or avian flu, although the type of virus has not yet been confirmed by health authorities, still pending the outcome of the Laboratory tests.
