Authorities confirmed three new cases of foot-and-mouth disease on the island of Lesvos, bringing raising the total number of cases to five, officials said Tuesday.

The Rural Development Ministry said the new cases were detected across five livestock units, including sheep and cattle farms, with three sheep units operating in the same space.
