Zambia records fourth case of swine flu
    Written by Joseph Mwenda

ZAMBIA has recorded a fourth case of swine flu, Health ministry spokesperson, Dr Reuben Mbewe has disclosed. Dr Mbewe told Post Online that a Zambian woman was diagnosed with the disease on arrival at the Lusaka International Airport from the West Indies over the weekend.

He said the woman has since been quarantined at a farm in Lusaka for observation and has been treated for the highly contagious disease.

He assured the nation that the identified cases had been put under control and that the general public was not at risk of being infected.

Meanwhile, Dr Mbewe said two of the three student athletes who tested positive to the virus on return from Belgrade last week are still being quarantined in Ndola.

He further assured that the Ministry of Health had received sufficient supply of the Tamiflu dosage which is used to treat the A/H1N1 virus.
