?Considering its geographical location to Senegal, Gambia becomes vulnerable to the virus.? Says Abdoulie Camara, Coordinator H1N1. Mr. Abdoulie Camara said among the countries that contacted the virus in the West Africa region, the most recent is Senegal which has 14 confirmed cases just after the Touba Magal and some five thousand Gambians had attended the gathering. He further stated that any influenza or H1N1 is a disaster and the disaster Management governing Council is under the vice president?s office. He said it would be vital to reinforce training and awareness creation about the pandemic and involvement of the communities. The workshop took place at the Baobab Holiday resort from 28-3 march, 2011.
