As of May 30, 2020, the situation of Coronavirus disease in Burkina Faso is as follows:

242 samples analyzed, go back:

- 164 traveler tests;

- 15 contact case tests;

- 15 suspect case tests;

- 37 hemodialysis tests;

- 11 control tests;

Number of new confirmed cases: 02, all imported;

Number of healings: 06, bringing to 741, the total of healings;

Number of deaths: 00, total of deaths 53;

Number of active cases: 89;

Number of cases confirmed since March 09, 2020: 883 including 322 women and 561 men.

One (01) case of Covid-19 was recorded in Burkina Faso on May 31, 2020 on 68 samples analyzed, informs the Government Information Service on Tuesday June 2, 2020.

10 healings have been recorded and no deaths have been reported.

The number of confirmed cases since March 09, 2020 therefore increases to 884.

The total healings climbed to 751. And there were 53 deaths.

Covid-19: More positive cases reported in the Boucle du Mouhoun

With three new confirmed cases following the analysis of 135 samples, the total of positive test persons in Burkina Faso goes from 885 cases to 888 on June 3, 2020. Among these new cases, there are two imported cases and one person contact followed.

Five new healings were recorded bringing the total to 765. With zero deaths, the total number of people killed by the disease remains of 53. The number of people on treatment is 70. These active cases come from two regions, the Center and the Hauts-Bassins. The Boucle du Mouhoun recorded its last negative case yesterday (June 4).

Of the three new cases confirmed at Covid-19, as of June 3, 2020, there are 2 imported cases. What countries do they come from? To this question, Dr Brice Bicaba suggested that contrary to what had been done since the arrival of the first imported cases in Burkina Faso, it was decided not to mention these countries in the press releases in the light of "the sensitivity of some questions, "said Dr. Brice Bicaba. On the other hand, a notification is made to the countries of origin of these cases so that they take action, reassures the Coordinator of the "Health" sectoral committee.

In the sub-region, Burkina Faso is the 5th most affected country behind Ghana (8,885 cases), Ivory Coast (3,262 cases), Mali (1,461 cases), Niger (963 cases) ).

In terms of the number of patients cured, the country also ranks 5th this time behind Ghana (3,189), C?te d'Ivoire (1,584), Niger (860), Mali ( 806).

In terms of death, Burkina Faso occupies 3rd place behind Mali (85 deaths) and Niger (65 deaths) and ahead of Ghana (38 deaths) and C?te-d?Ivoire (35). Togo and Benin, with 13 and 3 deaths respectively, are the countries least affected by Covid-19 in the sub-region.

Situation of covid-19 in Burkina Faso: 01 new case confirmed on June 04, 2020

As of June 06, 2020, out of 168 samples analyzed, Burkina Faso has recorded one (01) new case linked to covid-19, the government information service announced in a press release on Saturday, June 06, 2020. press release said that this new case was imported. No subject carrying the virus has either died.
The Government Information Service (GIS) took stock of covid-19 in Burkina Faso on June 4, 2020.

Health authorities analyzed 168 samples. This is distributed as follows: 37 contact tests; 85 traveler tests; 26 suspect case tests; 20 control tests. The results indicate one (01) new case. 05 new people are also declared cured. This brings the number of cured to 770. No patient with the disease has died either. The number of deaths therefore remains at 53. As of June 6, 2020, the number of active cases is 66. The number of cases confirmed since May 9, 2020 is 889 including 323 women and 566 men.

A case of covid-19 was reported in Ouagadougou on June 6, 2020, reports the Government Information Service on 79 samples analyzed in Burkina Faso.

03 healings were recorded bringing to 775, the total of people healed. No death has been reported on this date. The number of deaths stagnates at 53.

Since March 9, 2020, 890 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been recorded, including 323 women and 567 men. 62 cases are currently active.

For several days the situation on the Covid-19 in Burkina seems to be improving. The point on June 7, 2020 resembles that of the previous day.

Out of 128 samples analyzed, 01 new confirmed cases, 03 cures and 00 deaths were recorded on this date of June 7. According to the government point, the new confirmed case is an imported case and is currently confined to Ouagadougou.

The overall assessment goes to 891 confirmed cases since March 9, 2020, including 778 cures and 53 deaths.

The number of active cases is 60.

Burkina Faso is moving towards the eradication of coronavirus disease in light of the results recorded in recent weeks.

As of June 12, 2020, Burkina Faso has recorded zero confirmed cases out of 105 samples with 8 cures and zero deaths. This brings a total of 892 confirmed cases since March 9, 2020, distributed between 323 women and 569 men with 799 cures out of a total sample of 9,088 people tested.

The Center region remains the most affected with 752 cases, followed by the Hauts-Bassins with 69 cumulative cases, the Boucle du Mouhoun 23 cases, the Sahel with 19 cases, the Central Plateau with 9 cases, the Cascades 4 cases, the Center -North 3 cases, the South Center 2 cases, and the Southwest 1 case.

According to Dr Brice Bicaba, health sector coordinator for the response to the coronavirus epidemic, "the Central region is the only active region with 40 cases. All the other homes have gone out. "

According to him, for 4 successive weeks, the cases continue to decrease. “3 weeks ago, we have 39 cumulative cases. The week that followed, we had 6 cumulative cases and this week 2 cumulative cases, ”he says.

For the coming weeks, Dr. Bicaba says that voluntary screening will be open to anyone wishing to be screened in the CSPS of Bogodogo, Pogbi, the Sig-nonguin and Kossodo Medical Center.

Burkina Faso is on the brink of overcoming the Coronavirus pandemic. As the days go by, the numbers give hope.

As of June 14, 2020, the country has registered one confirmed case out of 45 analyzes carried out. According to the Government Information Service, this is an imported case.

The tests concerned 5 contact cases, 30 travelers, 3 suspected cases and 7 control tests. On the same date, Burkina recorded 2 healings bringing to 809, the total number of people healed from the pandemic. Also, there have been no deaths in the past 24 hours. This keeps the number of deaths at 53.

Since March 9, 895 people, including 324 women and 571 men, have tested positive for the disease. The country still has 33 active cases currently being followed up by health services.

Covid-19 in Burkina: Four new cases including one imported to Nouna on June 20, 2020

Burkina Faso has registered, as of June 20, 2020, four new confirmed cases of Covid-19 bringing to 907 the total number of persons tested positive since March 9.

Among these cases, there are two imported cases including one in Ouagadougou and one in Nouna and two cases of community transmission identified in Ouagadougou and in the rural commune of Tanghin-Dassouri. It should be remembered that the Boucle du Mouhoun region, which includes the city of Nouna, had registered its last negative case on June 4.

Should we fear a resurgence of the disease in this region? Vigilance must be required but in the meantime the country records four new healings bringing the total to 823 healings.

The number of deaths has not changed since May 24, 2020. There are still 53. There are 31 patients on treatment.

Note that these results were obtained after analysis of 107 samples.
