Central Florida on Tuesday added 732 cases of coronavirus for a total of 78,040.
Florida added 5,409 coronavirus cases Wednesday to push the statewide total past 500,000, to 502,739 infected. And with 225 new virus fatalities reported Wednesday, 7,627 Florida residents are now dead.

COVID-19 in Florida, Aug. 7: State adds 7,686 new cases, reports 180 additional deaths

The Florida Department of Health reported 7,686 new COVID-19 cases Friday and verified 180 additional deaths.
That brings the state's case total to 518,075. On Wednesday, Florida became the second U.S. state, joining California, to confirm more than 500,000 cases of COVID-19.
