The MS Westerdam cruise ship has been stuck at sea for nearly two weeks and will remain without a port after Thailand became the latest nation to block its entry amid possible fears of the coronavirus on Tuesday.

A spokesperson for the Holland America cruise line previously told Fox News the ship planned to dock at Laem Chabang on Feb. 13, but now it appears that won't be happening. Thailand's Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul announced on Facebook Tuesday that he refused permission to dock.

A cruise ship from Hong Kong which has been rejected entry to a Japanese port will let passengers disembark at a port in central Thailand later this week, the operator of the vessel said Monday.

The Japanese government denied entry to the Westerdam ship after a passenger was suspected of having caught the new coronavirus. The cruise ship will let passengers off at the Thai port of Laem Chabang on Thursday.

The vessel carrying 1,455 passengers -- including four Japanese nationals -- and 802 crew members was scheduled to enter Naha Port in Okinawa Prefecture on Saturday. But following Japan's order, the plan was canceled.
