84 cases of coronavirus confirmed in Spain, five of them serious

The cases of coronavirus confirmed in Spain amount to 84 mid-afternoon on Sunday after the new positive cases registered in Catalonia, the Community of Madrid, Asturias and the Basque Country. Spain records 119 cases of coronavirus, according to the balance of the Ministry of Health, which must be added a new positive recorded in recent hours in Castilla y Le?n. Spain has confirmed its first death from coronavirus.

Health officials in Valencia said the virus was to blame for the death of a man on February 13 in a city hospital.

Confirmation came after what was described as a 'retrospective investigation' following the death of the man - who had travelled to Nepal.
