      The Department of Health announced on Wednesday that the total number of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the Philippines has risen to 202 with 15 new additional cases.

      The DOH also said in a statement that three patients have died today due to COVID-19 which brings the total number of deaths in the country to 17.

      All three patients had pre-existing medical conditions before testing positive for the novel coronavirus disease...

                MANILA (REUTERS) - The Philippines reported 73 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total to 380, the health ministry said on Sunday (March 22).

                It also announced six more deaths related to the coronavirus, bringing total fatalities to 25.

                Health Undersecretary Rosario Vergeire told DZBB radio that the increase in the number of confirmed cases could be "artificial", as the government is only now catching up on a backlog of tests.

                  The Department of Health (DOH) marked the biggest single-day increase in the number of COVID-19 cases on Monday after it confirmed 82 new cases, bringing the total number of infections in the Philippines to 462 in under a month.
                  The number of deaths rose to 33 after eight new fatalities were recorded. The number of recoveries climbed to 18 after one more patient was considered cured of the disease.

                      Philippines' COVID-19 cases jump to 552, death toll now at 35

                      Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 24) — The Department of Health reported on Tuesday 90 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the country total to 552.

                      The death toll has risen to 35, while the number of patients who have recovered are now at 20, the DOH said in its 4:00 p.m. bulletin.

                      Two more elderly patients have died from the coronavirus disease – a 71-year-old Filipino man from Quezon City and a 76-year-old Filipino man from Cavite province.

                      The first patient succumbed to severe pneumonia caused by COVID-19, as well as hypertensive cardiovascular disease, and dysrhythmia, the DOH said.

                      The cause of death of the other patient includes COVID-19, heart failure, community-acquired pneumonia, ST-elevation myocardial infarction, and acute respiratory failure...
