New contamination at a mink farm
Again the coronavirus has been detected at a mink farm. This time at a breeding farm in Ledeacker in Noord-Brabant. It is a company with 4500 dams. The animals are culled as soon as possible. The hygiene protocols on the farm are being tightened.
The infection became known because disease symptoms were reported in the mink. There is a duty to report sick animals.
A total of 24 mink farms have now been confirmed infected. The virus was diagnosed at a mink farm in Aarle-Rixtel last Monday. There were 2000 mother animals. All animals were culled at the 23 farms where the virus had previously been diagnosed.
