Sydney - Increase in patients presenting to ER with unseasonal respiratory illness
Re: Sydney - Increase in patients presenting to ER with unseasonal respiratory illness
Apparently, Dr. Fulde publishes such a column regularly, since this article below came out on the 28th. No mention of ARI. Instead, he is dealing with heart attacks, car accidents, alcohol-related incidents, and other injuries. So whatever was causing the unseasonal ARI has likely passed, or wasn't nearly the issue we made of it.
suggests it was a rhinovirus outbreak. The most recent NSW report does not include a separate respiratory disease section this time, so I guess it all blew over.
