Summary
New coronaviruses are prone to cause acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), which has posed a great threat to life safety. Non-invasive respiratory adjuvant therapy is a conventional treatment for ARDS caused by new coronavirus pneumonia. However, in the treatment of new coronavirus pneumonia, there is often an overuse of non-invasive respiratory support treatment that causes tracheal intubation delay and affects the clinical prognosis of patients. Indications and contraindications for the use of non-invasive ventilation, early identification of risk factors for failure of non-invasive ventilation treatment, timely termination of non-invasive ventilation and invasive ventilation are the issues that clinicians need to pay attention to in the treatment of new coronavirus pneumonia.
