Human cases: 2867 notified with 1359 discarded, 785 suspected, and 723 confirmed cases with 237 YFV associated fatalities reported by Brazil MOH as of 01 March; Non-Human Primate (NHP) cases: 4161 notified, 782 discarded, 1347 suspected, 554 confirmed and 1478 "not determined" cases reported by Brazil MOH as of 01 March As in previous season, the southeast with Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo is the mostly affected area. Compared to the 2016-2017 YFV season, the number of confirmed cases and YFV associated fatalities is higher in the 2017-2018 when compared to EW 08/2017 although the number of suspected cases is lower in the 2017-2018. The mortality rate varies between 30.9% and 100% (average:50.25%).
