Yellow alert for cases of H1N1 in Valle del Cauca

Public Health Secretary declared yellow alert for three cases of death from the H1N1 virus, including two women, native of the city of Cali and the municipality of Tulua.
The secretariat made a call to public health agencies and private to activate the alert. It also requires the same entities that activate contingency plans in each municipality through local health directorates and institutions providing health services for disease outbreaks due to the H1N1 virus.
"These entities must make a continuous updating of human resources, implementation of triagre, dissemination of the Study Guide and Case Management of Influenza A H1N1. In the meantime, should intensify epidemiological surveillance of all suspected and probable cases" Health Secretary said Alejandro Varela.
