Сегодня, 25 ноября, депутаты Курганской областной Думы приняли региональную целевую программу «О неотложных мерах по профилактике и ликвидации особо опасных и карантинных заболеваний животных и птицы на 2009-2013 годы».​

Ее реализация, по мнению разработчиков, позволит обеспечить эпизоотическое благополучие на территории области, оздоровление неблагополучных пунктов по особо опасным и карантинным заболеваниям животных, а также профилактику заражения населения болезнями, общими для человека и животных.​
