The Wyoming Department of Health reported Tuesday that it has confirmed a case of measles in an unvaccinated child from Natrona County.

The measles case is the first in the state since 2010, the agency said in a press release.

The child was in the Banner Wyoming Medical Center Emergency Department waiting room while infectious on June 24 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and also on June 25 between 12:55 p.m. and 2:55 p.m., the health agency said.

People who were at that location may have been exposed to measles.​..

A third case of measles has been confirmed in Wyoming.

The Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) said an unvaccinated adult from Carbon County was exposed out of the country.

The person was in public areas while contagious. The state’s epidemiologist is asking folks to self-monitor for symptoms for 21 days past the potential exposure date if they were at:

July 16, 2025, 11:15 AM through 2:10 PM – Elevated Health & Safety Solutions (EHSS)
July 16, 2025, 1:00 PM through 3:00 PM – City Market, Rawlins
July 17, 2025, 11:59 AM through 6:43 PM – Memorial Hospital of Carbon County (MHCC)

WDH is working with EHSS and MHCC to notify people who may have been exposed.​..

​The Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) has identified four additional cases of measles in Carbon County. All cases were exposed to an individual with confirmed measles infection. The four cases include both adults and children. Three were unvaccinated at the time of exposure, and one was vaccinated but is immunocompromised. None were hospitalized.

Members of the public may have been exposed to measles at the following locations and times. The measles virus can remain in the air for up to two hours after an infectious individual leaves an area.

• Walmart, Supercenter, 2390 E. Cedar St., Rawlins, June 29, 11 a.m. through 2 p.m.

BOZEMAN, Mont. - An active measles exposure site was identified at the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport and Southwest flight 2740 on August 12, from 6:37 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., the Gallatin County Health Department shared on social media.

Southwest flight 2740 arrived from Denver, Colorado at 6:37 p.m. on August 12.

The Gallatin County Health Department is urging anyone who was in the airport or on the flight during that time to monitor for measles symptoms through September 2...

WYOMING — A fully vaccinated adult Park County resident has a confirmed case of measles, according to an announcement by the Wyoming Department of Health (WDH). This brings this year’s statewide case total to 15.

The afflicted person “had extensive exposure to measles while abroad and developed a mild illness” and was not hospitalized, per WDH. The agency noted that members of the public could have been exposed to infection at the following locations in Cody last week, since the measles virus can remain in the air for up to two hours after an infectious individual leaves an area:

CHEYENNE -- The Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) confirmed a case of measles in an unvaccinated adult in Teton County, according to Sunday press release.

Measles is a highly contagious infection that can cause severe illness.

The public may have been exposed to measles at the following locations and times:

Cafe Court Pizzeria and Ranch House Restaurant, Colter Bay Village, Grand Teton National Park, 100 Colter Bay Village Road, Moran, Wyoming, 83013, June 17, Noon to 10 p.m. and June 18, Noon to 10 p.m.
Colter Bay Convenience Store, Grand Teton National Park, 1 Colter Bay Village Road, Moran, Wyoming, 83013, June 20, 2 p.m. through 4 p.m.
Target Jackson Hole, 510 S Highway 89, Jackson, Wyoming 83001, June 25, 7 a.m. through 9:30 a.m.

JACKSON, Wyo. — A second case of the measles has been confirmed in an unvaccinated adult in Teton County, according to announcements by the Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) and Grand Teton National Park (GTNP). The first local case of this year was reported in late June, marking the first time the disease has been present in the county in many years.

A Fremont County adult was infected this spring, bringing this year’s statewide total to three. Last year, Wyoming saw a total of 15 cases, the first appearance of measles in the state since 2010.

Members of the public could have been exposed to infection at the following locations in GTNP and in Jackson, since the measles virus can remain in the air for up to two hours after an infectious individual leaves an area:
