Woman's death in Minas Gerais is investigated by suspicion of flu H1N1

The Foundation Ezequiel Dias (Funed) is going to investigate the death of a woman who can have been the first victim of the flu H1N1 in the year of 2011 in Minas Gerais. According to the general office, the Funed is going to check the possibility of the woman had contracted the disease from the analysis of one her examination directed by the unity of health in which it was interned. In accordance with the organ, the foundation must still present the result of the examination in 30 days.

Minas Gerais investigates the first death this year on suspicion of swine flu


BELO HORIZONTE - The Health Secretariat of Minas Gerais is investigating the first suspected death from influenza A (H1N1) - flu - this year. The patient lived in Montes Claros and died last Monday with symptoms of the disease.

The latest bulletin from the Ministry of Health indicates that 99 people died from the virus H1N1 influenza from January to October 2010.

In August last year, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced the end of pandemic disease, which killed over 19,000 people worldwide. The reduction in the threat level means the virus continues to circulate, but along with other viruses and intensity in different countries.
