This year?s flu season has caused multiple deaths, including an unborn child whose mother continues to fight the flu, the H1N1 strain, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, officials there said.

Barnes-Jewish Hospital is not the only hospital to report flu-related deaths. There have been two deaths at Mercy Hospital St. Louis and six deaths at SSM Health Care?s seven area hospitals, according to officials.
