The coronavirus death toll in Wisconsin now stands at 23.

The new victims were announced Monday.


The number of positive patients is now 1,275.

Wisconsin Department of Health Services released the numbers Monday afternoon.

The state only reported 14 deaths but did not take into account one new victim in Washington County, three new victims in Ozaukee County and five victims in Milwaukee County.

MILWAUKEE — The total positive cases of coronavirus in Wisconsin rose to 1,550 on Wednesday, April 1, officials with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported. There have been a total of 33 deaths — and more than 18,000 negative tests (18,819).

New on Wednesday, DHS officials began including the number of patients hospitalized as a result of COVID-19. As of Wednesday at 2 p.m., that number was 398 (26%)

The number of coronavirus cases has surpassed 2,300 in Wisconsin.

Combining numbers from Sunday, April 5, 2020, from the state Department of Health Services, the Milwaukee County Health Department, and other county health departments shows at least 2,310 people have tested positive for COVID-19. There have been at least 25,169 negative tests. The total number dead is at least 74.
