Alessandro Sette, one of the senior authors who is a T-cell researcher, is interviewed about this paper on the current TWiV https://www.microbe.tv/twiv/twiv-736/ and another paper https://www.nature.com/articles/s41421-021-00250-9 looking at B and T cells 6 months post infection found T-cell levels remained high but B-cells had dropped significantly.
