Overview

This is the 32[SUP]nd[/SUP] situation report for the multi-country outbreak of mpox, which provides details on the latest epidemiology. This update also features significant developments, including updates to the WHO SAGE recommendations on mpox vaccines in outbreak settings, forthcoming revisions to the interim guidance on Diagnostic testing for the monkeypox virus (MPXV), and highlights from a recent high-level emergency regional meeting on mpox convened in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) by WHO and Africa CDC in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health, Hygiene and Prevention. These efforts emphasize the critical need for enhanced surveillance, precise diagnostics, and international cooperation in tackling the mpox public health challenge.
