WHO: Home care for patients with suspected novel coronavirus (nCoV)

In the event that that the health care system becomes overwhelmed in the future, individuals should be ready to take over home care of sick relatives and friends. The World Health Organization (WHO) has publish guidance for taking care of individuals with suspected 2019-nCoV infections.

The 3 page document is available at: Home care for patients with suspected novel coronavirus (nCoV) infection presenting with mild symptoms and management of contacts

The above document assumes that home care will be restricted to patients with mild symptoms. However, if you or family members have some medical training the following document might be beneficial in caring for more severe cases.

The document Clinical management of severe acute respiratory infection when novel coronavirus (nCoV) infection is suspected can be downloaded from a link on this page.
