You will notice that figures on page 1 under ?overview? are not the same as those in the table on page 6

This is because the epidemiological analysis is based on figures through 31 August

This type of analysis is always done for a complete week (Monday to Monday) to allow for week-to-week comparison. At the time of publication of this situation report (5 September), week 36 had not yet ended.

The figures in the table at page 6 are the latest reported numbers

These are known cases and probably under-reported.

The report contains a case count for Nigeria of 18 confirmed, 1 probable, and 3 suspected cases. My list of what has previously been reported only has 18 confirmed, 1 probable, and 1 suspect case.

Two of these suspect cases are therefore new.
