I have just noticed and read the ORH link in Sally's post which is excellent. I have a very early copy of a Dr. Grattan Woodson guide and seem to remember he recommended Bicarb as a replacement for some of the salt if the primary cause of water loss was diarrhea (although I can not remember why). Any thoughts on that?
