WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An 8-year-old boy injured in the Waukesha Holiday Parade tragedy has died. This, according to a
GoFundMe page.
Eight-year-old Jackson Sparks, along with his 12-year-old brother, were both seriously hurt after a driver plowed through the Christmas parade Sunday, Nov. 21.
Both boys were taken to Children's Wisconsin for treatment.
According to the GoFundMe page, Jackson underwent brain surgery following the incident. Tuesday, Nov. 23, an update said Jackson succumbed to his injuries and passed away...

WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Waukesha community is grieving after an SUV sped through the city's Christmas parade Sunday evening, Nov. 21,
killing six people and injuring 48 others.

The
Humane Animal Welfare Society is inviting any community members in need of comfort to visit their main shelter in Waukesha on Wednesday, Nov. 24 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. They will also host another opportunity for pet-assisted comfort on Tuesday, Nov. 30 from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Waukesha police say those who lost items at the scene including wallets, keys, etc., may pick them up at the Park, Rec and Forestry Department Monday night, Nov. 22 until 7 p.m., and Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. The department is located at 1900 Aviation Drive.
Numerous resources from government and nonprofit agencies will be made available at a
Friends and Family Resource Center on Tuesday, Nov. 23 and Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Carroll University -- 100 N. East Avenue in Waukesha. The Campus Center Ballroom will be open from 2-6 p.m. on Nov. 23 and from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 24.
The Friends and Family Resource Center will provide mental health services, a lunch meal and other resources for victims and some members of the community. The Waukesha County District Attorney’s Office Victim Assistance Program will be onsite, along with staff from the Department of Justice Crime Victim Compensation Program, as well as the American Red Cross and other community organizations.
For parents or guardians of children in attendance or otherwise impacted by the Christmas parade, the School District of Waukesha has provided the following resources for addressing trauma:
Waukesha schools will remain closed until Monday, Nov. 29, however the school district will provide counselors for students and staff on Tuesday, Nov. 23, as well as meals for residents to pick up. For more information,

Waukesha County Community Foundation and United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County have joined together to create the United for Waukesha Community Fund to support the families impacted by the parade.

Blood donations
Another way to help is by rolling up your sleeve.
Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin has extended its hours at metro-Milwaukee donations centers in wake of the tragic events in Waukesha.
On Nov. 23, 24 and 26, seven area locations will open additional hours to accommodate those stepping up to provide donations. Versiti says all blood types are needed, with type O positive and O negative most in demand.

Fundraisers
Several fundraisers have been planned to benefit the victims and their families.
The
Waukesha County Sheriff's Department is selling plush K-9 dogs for $20 a piece. 100% of the net sales will be donated to the United for Waukesha Community Fund. The stuffed animals can be purchased at the sheriff's department located at 515 W. Moreland Boulevard, door #8, from 7 a.m.-11 p.m. until they run out.
Avalon Graphics is selling yard signs with the Waukesha [broken heart] logo, with 100% of sales benefiting the United Way and Waukesha County Community Foundation fund.
Drink Wisconsinbly Pub will donate 100% of all Drink Wisconsinbly Pub net proceeds Monday, Nov. 22, to the Waukesha Community Fund.
The
Milwaukee Brewers are hosting a discussion at The Back Room at Colectivo Coffee, 2211 N. Prospect Ave, on Tuesday morning, Nov. 23. Fans are invited to talk baseball over coffee from 7:30 - 9 a.m. Those attending are encouraged to bring a donation (cash or check) to Brewers Community Foundation. Those donations will be matched personally by David Stearns and all funds will be directed to support the United for Waukesha Community Fund.
From Wednesday, Nov. 24-Friday, Nov. 26, the Brewers Community Foundation will also donate $10 for each car that goes through the
Magic of Lights holiday display. American Family Insurance and Magic of Lights will match this up to $10,000, benefiting the United for Waukesha Community Fund.
Culver's of Waukesha will donate 50% of sales made on Wednesday, Nov. 24, to the victims and their families.
Steny's Tavern will donate $5 from each sale of Steny's clothing, Bloody Mary growlers, and every $25 spent on gift cards, to the United for Waukesha Community Fund. This fundraiser will run from Wednesday, Nov. 24 through Sunday, Nov. 28.
The Coop will be donating all proceeds on Friday, Nov. 26 to the Waukesha County Community Foundation. The restaurant is located at 350 Delafield Street in Waukesha.
Oak Barrel Public House will host a fundraiser starting at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28 benefiting the victims of the parade. Sales will go toward the families of the victims.
Champps Brookfield will donate 100% of money from $25 gift card purchases to the United for Waukesha Community Fund. The restaurant aims to sell 400 cards to donate $10,000.
The Saloon on Calhoun is planning a fundraiser to take place on Tuesday, Dec. 14. All funds raised will go directly to Waukesha families and businesses affected by the parade tragedy.
Vigils & community gatherings
A gathering has been planned at The Rotunda -- 235 W. Broadway in Waukesha, beginning at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 23.
Hosted by Chabad of Waukesha, community members are asked to
pledge to committing random acts of kindness in the wake of this tragedy.
