STOCKING UP ON MEDS

The threat of a massive flu pandemic is still very real.

Washington state is stocking up on anti-viral medicine. It will be used in case of a flu. The state is hoping to gather enough medication to treat 15 of the population. That's just over 1 million people. There are 6 million in the state. Gordon Kelly with Yakima County's Health District says, that should be enough medicine for a contained group of people.

The medication will cost the state $10 million.
