Monitoring H1N1: Hospitalizations and deaths

Beginning September 19, 2009, the state Department of Health will report hospitalizations and deaths for all types of influenza — not only H1N1 (swine flu). From April 26, 2009 to September 18, 2009 there were 174 hospitalizations and 16 deaths attributed to H1N1 (swine flu).

Updates will be posted on Friday at 3:00 p.m., and will include the total number of hospitalized and fatal cases of both H1N1 and seasonal flu in Washington. Mid-week updates will be posted as needed.
