Vonda Lynne Polinkus

04/07/1976 - 09/02/2010 Vonda Lynne Polinkus passed away September 2, 2010. She was born April 7, 1976, in Bellingham, WA. Vonda contracted H1N1, which caused ARDS. After a courageous 15 mo. battle with the complications, Vonda wanted to again climb mountains. She is...with Jesus. Vonda loved her work; she was a dedicated RN (trauma and critical care) in the Emergency Dept. at St. Joseph Hospital (her other family). Vonda believed in sharing knowledge by being a preceptor (training others who joined the ED). She was working her night rotation when she contracted H1N1. In May, 2009 - she hovered close to death for days...
