A four-year-old patient in Chau Thanh district, Dong Thap province, has shown symptoms of the H5N1 virus, according to the director of the district medical centre, Nguyen Thanh Son.

Once again, two suspect H5N1 cases in the same region leads to confusion in comments by CP. The first case (3M) in Dong Thap died and was H5N1 confirmed. The second case (4F) from an adjacent hamlet in Dong Thap has tested negative and is recovering.
