Hanoi to build new abattoir

A project to build a new abattoir in Binh Minh Commune of Thanh Oai District in Hanoi has been approved by city authorities with investments of more than VND101 billion (about US$5 million) by the Thanh Oai People?s Committee.

The new abattoir with capacity to process 120 cattle, 120 horses, 480 pigs and 7,200 poultry per day, will be built on an area of 4.6 hectares and will be operational by 2013.
