<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" align=left border=0><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top align=left>The Nha Trang Institute of Vaccines and Medical Biologicals (IVAC) has successfully produced - in its labs three batches of 5,500 doses of FLUVAC - A/H5N1 influenza vaccine for human use.

The institute said on Monday that the quality of the flu vaccine has been recognized by the National Vaccine Verification Institute under the Ministry of Health.
FLUVAC is the result of a research project carried out by IVAC from March 2006 to last December.
The vaccine was experimentally produced in labs last year.
The institute is asking permission from the ministry to test FLUVAC on human subjects.
The production system is expected to begin trial operation early next year.
