Vietnam and Cambodia are two countries with relations neighbors good friendship for many years. Recently, the development trend of the world, to exchange trade goods, including animals and animal products, via the two countries border on the rise. Found necessary to have cooperation between the two countries in the field of veterinary to prevent animal disease spread through the border, while promoting trade between the two countries, on 4/4/2006 Ministry in Hanoi Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Fisheries (old) of Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Aquiculture Cambodia signed cooperation agreement in the field of Animal Y. Department of Animal Health Department and the Vietnam Animal Husbandry italy Cambodia is implementing this agreement. Accordingly, two Department will hold a bilateral meeting annually to build and review the implementation of cooperation programs, exchange information with the two parties concerned.
Bilateral meetings between the first Department of Animal Health Department of Vietnam's Animal Health and Livestock Cambodia was held on 29-30/12/2008 in Long Xuyen City, An Giang, with the participation of 42 delegates Việt Vietnam and Cambodia. At the meeting, both sides have notified each other for the situation of each animal italy country through 3 report of Vietnam and a report of Cambodia. The two sides will establish contact points at national level to exchange information related to the disease by the OIE guidelines.
The two sides will establish the road communication especially through e-mail hotline, fax to exchange information specifically related to animal disease control slaughter and processing of animal products. In an emergency, Bureau Chief Department of Animal Health Department of Vietnam and Chief Department of Animal Husbandry italy Cambodia will contact directly or authorized officials to inform their current situation.
Go to set up a program in the field through quarantine border; set agreement mutual recognition of veterinary hygiene, quarantine certificates between authorities of both Parties, the two Parties agree to set up the core quarantine in 11 of Vietnam; set and equipped with machines, tools for the month of quarantine; officially notify other agencies have jurisdiction issue quarantine.
The two sides will work training and improving human resources in areas, such as quarantine, control of slaughter and processing; of aquaculture diseases, diseases ong; improve diagnosis blue ear disease ( PRRS), and describing pigs and ducks hepatitis Institute for Animal Health Cambodia; improve data analysis and the epidemiology of Cambodia and organized groups to study each other for the provinces bordering the two countries.
Especially the development of regional disease control concerns mồm long m?ng and other diseases based on the area controlled by the regional Lower Mekong River store, the two sides will continue discussions in the upcoming meeting was held in Cambodia to 2009.
The success of the meeting marked a new step in the development of cooperation between the two Animal Health in Viet Nam and Cambodia.
