Acute diarrhea returns to northern provinces
16:52' 23/06/2008 (GMT+7)

VietNamNet Bridge – Bac Ninh province has reported some acute diarrhea patients since early June 2008.

Of 22 tested patients, 12 from the four districts of Tien Du, Tu Son, Yen Phong and Thuan Thanh are positive for the Vibrio cholerae bacterium.

According to the Health Department of Bac Ninh province, acute diarrhea has returned to the province because the Vibrio cholerae bacterium still exists in the environment and it spreads strongly in hot weather.

Other northern provinces like Hanoi and Ha Tay also have reported several acute diarrhea patients.
