The Prime Minister has approved a policy to increase capital, additional $ 25 million for the project "Prevention of avian flu, human flu and pandemic prevention in Vietnam" (VAHIP). The capital increase funded from loans.

Prime Minister requests in the process of approving the project, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Ministry of Health to receive comments from relevant agencies to use World Bank loans efficiently, ensuring protection project was implemented according to schedule, achieving the set objectives.

VAHIP project was implemented in 11 provinces: Lang Son, Hanoi, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Thua Thien Hue, Binh Dinh, Tay Ninh, Long An, Tien Giang and Dong Thap province with the goal of improving Results of the veterinary services and health, reduce health risks for humans and poultry caused by avian influenza.
