WATERBURY, Vt. (WCAX) - A bobcat found in Vermont has tested positive for the bird flu.

According to officials at Vermont Fish and Wildlife, a lab test confirmed the preliminary positive result for avian influenza in the animal. However, officials are still waiting on a second lab test.

At this time, we do not know when or exactly where the bobcat was discovered.

We expect to learn more shortly from Fish and Wildlife officials...
