'According to the official website of the Ministry of health, approximately 52% of the suspicious samples of Influenza A, have been ratified as positive cases of H1N1', thus it said Tuesday the Secretary of Salud Miranda, Gustavo Villasmil, who stressed the importance that the mirandinos and Venezuelans extreme preventive measures.
Villasmil said that the virus has as main characteristic the high fever. 'The pictures that do not improve with influenza treatment and plenty of liquid in 72 hours are suspected cases, since the H1N1 has an acute clinical evolution in a span of 5 days. So all flu-like boxes which will worsen with the passing hours must be reviewed by specialists, to make subsequent assessments and discard the infection.'
Explained that the Influenza A H1N1-related symptoms are intense pain, extreme tiredness, runny nose, cough dry or with discharge, sore throat, muscle, joints, stuffy nose, diarrhea (occasionally) and eyes and pain poorly State general. He recalled that the network Francisco de Miranda has drugs and is prepared to meet a possible contingency generated by this virus. He also reiterated that the vaccination of the susceptible population is being made in the welfare centres belonging to this network.
