In volume 29 (2011) of Vaccine we reported on the safety and immunogenicity of heterologous boosting with AS03-adjuvanted or non-adjuvanted A/turkey/Turkey/1/2005 (H5N1) vaccines 14 months following two-dose priming with AS03-adjuvanted or non-adjuvanted A/Indonesia/5/2005 (H5N1) vaccines. Table 1 (p. 6413) of that publication summarised immune responses in terms of hemagglutinating antibody to support the study primary objectives. Table 3 on p. 6415 presented neutralising antibody responses to A/turkey/Turkey/1/2005 (H5N1), A/Indonesia/5/2005 (H5N1), and A/Vietnam/1194/2004 (H5N1). Following publication, an assay specificity issue was recognised for the A/Vietnam/1194/2004 microneutralisation (MN) assay for study Days 0, 10, and 42. Results from repeat testing for those days are reported here.
Previously reported data, corrected results (in yellow), and measures of change (in blue) for Days 0, 10, and 42 MN titres for A/Vietnam/1194/2004 (H5N1) are shown in the below table along with unchanged Day 182 results based on testing performed after the specificity issue had been addressed.
