San Salvador, 27 Feb (Notimex).

The deputy minister of industry, Violeta Menjivar, announced that the day will begin next weekend in the northern department of Chalatenango, on the border with Honduras.
`` We're trying to achieve vaccination coverage in the''cross-boundary municipalities, where this benefit has barely arrived, explained the official.
Childrens doses will be applied in public schools by medical staff and prior authorization from their parents.
During the campaign some doses will also be applied against H1N1 influenza, which are part of a grant that was awarded the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) to prevent the disease.
The representative of PAHO in El Salvador, Jose Ruales, for his part explained that the effort of the day in Latin America and the Caribbean is not to replace the programs of the Ministries of Health, but to cover this benefit marginalized population.
El Salvador has been certified by OPS to be free of diseases such as measles, congenital rubella, measles and polio syndrome.
