Three more cases of measles have been confirmed at Wasatch High School, bringing the total number to eight. The three new cases are in unvaccinated students.

The Wasatch County Health Department confirmed Saturday, Nov. 22, five local high school students have measles. Tuesday morning, it said three more students have joined the list.

With eight measles cases at Wasatch High, county Health Director Jonelle Fitzgerald said students without the full two doses of the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine should stay home for three weeks.​..

Davis County reports its first case of measles; state's total remains at 102

FARMINGTON — Health officials in Davis County are reporting the county's first measles case.

The department said on Monday "an adult resident of the county" had become infected. The health department said it became aware of the infection "over the weekend," and began looking into where the resident may have visited.

The resident visited three different locations, the department said, and warned that anyone at the following locations at the indicated times may have been exposed to the virus:

Kid Zone, 340 W. Antelope Drive, in Clearfield on Nov. 26, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Treehouse Children's Museum, 347 22nd Street, in Ogden on Nov. 26 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Walmart Supercenter, 745 W. Hill Field Road, in Layton on Nov 26 from 6:20 p.m. to 7:20 p.m.​..

Measles case confirmed inside Bingham High School in South Jordan

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah — A new measles case has been confirmed inside a childcare facility within a South Jordan high school, according to the Salt Lake County Health Department.

The new case was confirmed on Monday at the Bingham Kopper Kids facility, which is located within Bingham High School.

According to the health department, the infected person is unvaccinated, but the source of the infection remains unknown.

Health officials said the person was infectious while at the childcare facility between December 1-5. The high school and Jordan School District are notifying all those who may have had direct contact with the infected person and are unvaccinated.

In addition, due to measles being highly contagious, the entire school has been notified about a possible exposure, regardless of vaccination status.​..

​UTAH, Dec. 17, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah’s confirmed measles cases have hit 125, an increase of 10 cases in the past nine days.

The increases were in:

Southwest Utah, 9 new cases; 91 total
Central Utah, 1 new case; 3 total

“We strongly encourage parents to talk to their healthcare provider about the MMR vaccine for their children, even if they have not been exposed to someone with measles,” the Utah Department of Health says on its Measles Response webpage.

Of Utah’s confirmed measles, 115 are in patients who were unvaccinated. Eight are in patients were were vaccinated, and two are in people whose vaccination status was unknown.​..

UTAH COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — Six new measles cases have popped up in Utah County over the past week, according to the Utah County Health Dept. (UCHD).

All of these cases are in children aged 18 and under, according to the department. While the number of cases remains limited, the UCHD is reminding the community of steps to help reduce the spread of illness, especially during the holiday season when gatherings, travel, and indoor activities are more common.​..

SALT LAKE COUNTY (ABC4) — In the last week, Utah has had twenty new confirmed cases of measles. This brings the statewide total to 176 confirmed cases during the current outbreak, including cases from 2025 and 2026.

On Tuesday, the Utah Department of Health and Human Services confirmed that Utah is currently at 176 cases in the current outbreak, including cases from 2025 and 2026. Twenty new cases have been confirmed since last week.

As of this latest update, Southwest Utah still has had the most cases at 129. Utah County now has 19 cases, Wasatch County still has nine, and Salt Lake County still has five.

Additionally, Bear River Health District has four cases, Southeast Utah has three, and Davis County has two. The Central Utah Health District has had two additional cases, bringing it to a total of five cases.

DHHS has also identified several areas where individuals with measles have been and where there is exposure risk. If you were in any of the following locations at the listed times, DHHS recommends watching for measles symptoms for at least three weeks from the listed exposure dates.

Officials confirm Summit County's first measles case possibly exposed elementary school

KAMAS, Utah — Health officials have confirmed Summit County's first measles case to be a student who attended an elementary school while infectious.

This student attended school or school activities while infectious, exposures may have occurred during school hours at South Summit Elementary School on January 5, they said.

Summit County Health is working closely with South Summit School District to provide appropriate notification and guidance to school faculty, students, and parents. Health department staff are taking immediate action to investigate and limit further spread.​..

OGDEN, Utah — The spread of measles cases in Utah has arrived in Weber County, with health officials reporting two unrelated cases in the county on Friday.

With the additional cases reported by the Weber-Morgan Health Department, the total number of measles cases in Utah now stands at 210.

The health department said it is "working quickly" to notify public sites visited by the two people who tested positive for measles to alert anyone who may have been exposed. County residents are urged to closely watch for symptoms of measles following the confirmation of new cases.​..

SALT LAKE CITY — Utah is already reporting 42 measles cases this year, for a total of 237 cases during the current outbreak.

The Utah Department of Health and Human Services updated its measles statistics on Tuesday. The report shows 54 newly identified cases in the last three weeks.

The number of new cases each week has been decreasing since the final week of 2025, when there were 30 new cases — but the department could still add cases that are identified later to those counts.

In the last two weeks, Salt Lake County reported 12 new cases and 11 new cases were reported in both the southwest Utah health district and the Utah County Health District.

The most recent samples of wastewater detected measles in Salt Lake, Utah, Weber and Morgan counties, as well as in the southwest Utah health district. No recent measles detections were found in wastewater samples in Tooele County, Davis County, Summit County and the TriCounty health district.

Exposure locations in the last two weeks include Instacare locations in Spanish Fork, West Valley, Draper, and Riverton; two events at the Potter's House Christian Center and the emergency department at Intermountain Medical Center. San Juan County confirms first measles cases in out-of-town residents

SAN JUAN COUNTY — The San Juan Public Health Department announced the first measles cases in San Juan County residents on Wednesday.

The health department said the three infected people are residents of San Juan County but were exposed to the virus outside of the county and reportedly have not returned.

"As a result, there is no transmission risk to San Juan County residents," the department said in a news release.

The San Juan Public Health Department said there are still no confirmed measles among residents who physically live within the county...

Tooele County Health confirms first measles case

​TOOELE COUNTY, Utah, Feb. 17, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — The Tooele County Health Department has confirmed the county’s first case of measles during the current wave, which began early last year.

It was confirmed in a Stansbury High student who was exposed to the virus while attending a multi-district event outside of Tooele County, the Health Department says.

A notification letter has been sent to the parents or guardians of students involved.

The infected student did not attend school while contagious or before symptoms began on Feb. 9 and 10, the statement says. Measles is a highly contagious and serious viral illness, it says.​..

Utah high school wrestling championship causes measles outbreak among students, attendees

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A Utah state high school wrestling championship has caused an outbreak of measles cases after participants and attendees were exposed at the event last weekend, according to the Utah Dept. of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

The event, a 4A Boys championship, took place at Utah Valley University on Feb. 13-14. Multiple people in attendance, including students, have been confirmed to have measles, according to the DHHS.

The Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA) reportedly sent a letter to those in attendance at the event to warn of the exposure. The DHHS also said that because of the outbreak, there may be additional possible exposures at multiple local high schools.​

Highland High School has already confirmed a case and has sent a notice to parents about the incident. The DHHS is asking those with symptoms to stay home and encourages anyone who has not been vaccinated to get vaccinated...

HYRUM, Utah (KUTV) — Cache County School District sent a health alert after a potential measles exposure at Mountain Crest High School in Hyrum.

In a statement, school district officials said individuals who were on the school's campus on Tuesday, Feb. 24, and Wednesday, Feb. 25, may have been exposed to the virus.

Students and staff who were on campus on either day were advised to watch for symptoms through March 18. Anyone who experiences symptoms is advised to stay home and call their healthcare provider for guidance.​..
