Sanpete County turkey farm forced to depopulate following detection of avian flu

SANPETE COUNTY (KUTV) — The Utah Department of Agriculture and Food have notified the commnuity after diagnoses of avian influenza were confirmed at a Sanpete County turkey farm.

Officials said that the infected turkeys were diagnosed on Friday, Oct. 6.

The turkey farm where the infected birds were located has since been quarantined and the birds have been depopulated in order to contain the spread of disease...
