Equine virus outbreak expands slightly in Cache County

There are now six confirmed cases of equine herpes virus in Cache County ? a slight increase from what was initially reported last week ? according to officials at the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food.
No other horses have been euthanized since the two initial cases that were reported last week.
In addition to the six confirmed cases to date, two other horses are ?showing symptoms and are undergoing tests,? according to Bruce King, the state veterinarian, in a news release. That makes for a total of eight potential cases that have come to light in approximately the past 10 days...
