Use DDT Chemical to Combat Malaria

The President of Probe Ministries-USA, Dr. Raymond Bohlin, has recommended the use of DDT Chemical in Liberia to reduce the rate of Malaria.
Dr. Bohlin who is in the Country as guest of the Association of Christian Schools of Liberia (ACSOL) said malaria is now a growing world wide challenge with the disease claiming more lives in Africa than any other disease.
The American Educator noted that DDT Chemical is used in Europe and America to cut down the rate of malaria and it has proven successful in South Africa, Zambia and some other African Countries, especially when used in conjunction with "A.C.T" the new drug treatment for malaria infection.
Dr. Bohlin said malaria has the potential to paralyze the economy of a nation if not checked. He emphasized that the health condition of the citizens of any country determines it well being.
Dr. Bohlin is in the Country to conduct teachers training for Christian school teachers from a Christian worldview focusing mainly on ethical comportment.
The training which is currently taking place in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County is the fourth of its kind organized by the Association of Christian Schools of Liberia (ACSOL), to help bridge the ethical gap in the teaching profession in the Country.
The Executive Director of ACSOL Rev. Isaac Wheigar said the intent of his organization is to bring back the lost image of the teaching profession.
Rev. Wheigar who is also District Superintendent of the Wesleyan Churches of Liberia said ACSOL will not only seek to train teachers in the area of upholding ethical values but provide basic incentives to encourage school teachers stay morally upright.

He said Liberia can cut down malaria by 80 - 90% if it introduces the use of DDT Chemical. Dr. Bohlin said the DDT Chemical has been approved by the WHO, the US government and that President Bush's malaria initiative is making lots of money available for the use of DDT Chemical in specific ways that are environmental friendly to combat malaria.
