Am I understanding these correctly, in that those who had been vaxed more than 14 days prior were not responding to the vax?

USAFSAM expects the percentage of those vaccinated greater than 14 days prior to specimen collection to increase as the season progresses.

2009-2010 Seasonal Influenza Vaccine
There were 2,376 specimens from all services and beneficiary groups for which seasonal vaccination data were available (cumulative for the season, beginning 4 Oct 2009). 1,523 (64%) were vaccinated, although only 869 (57%) of them were vaccinated greater than 14 days prior to specimen collection. Of those, 453 (52%) received the FluMist? and 416 (48%) received the flu shot.
Pandemic Influenza A/H1N1 (pH1N1) Vaccine
There were 1,020 specimens from all services and beneficiary groups for which H1N1 vaccination data were available (cumulative for the season, beginning 4 Oct 2009). 339 (33%) were vaccinated, although only nine (3%) of them were vaccinated greater than 14 days prior to specimen collection. Of those, four (44%) received the nasal spray and five (56%) received an injection. Of the nine, seven had negative lab results and two were positive for pH1N1. One of the positive vaccinated cases was vaccinated with nasal spray 16 days prior to specimen collection and will be sequenced by the Molecular Lab. The other positive case was vaccinated with the injectable vaccine.

There were 2,756 specimens from all services and beneficiary groups for which seasonal vaccination data were available (cumulative for the season, beginning 4 Oct 2009). Of those, 1,052 (38%) were vaccinated with the 2009-2010 seasonal influenza vaccine, greater than 14 days prior to specimen collection. Of those, 509 (48%) received the nasal spray and 543 (52%) received an injection.
Pandemic Influenza A/H1N1 (2009 pH1N1) Vaccine
There were 1,231 specimens from all services and beneficiary groups for which 2009 pH1N1 vaccination data were available (cumulative for the season, beginning 4 Oct 2009). 47 (4%) were vaccinated with the 2009 pH1N1 vaccine, greater than 14 days prior to specimen collection. Of those, seven (15%) received the nasal spray and 40 (85%) received an injection.

Week 5 Jan 31 - Feb 6, '10
2009-2010 Seasonal Influenza Vaccine
There were 2,980 specimens from all services and beneficiary groups for which seasonal vaccination data were available (cumulative for the season, beginning 4 Oct 2009). Of those, 1,201 (40%) were vaccinated greater than 14 days prior to specimen collection. Of those, 571 (48%) received the nasal spray and 630 (52%) received an injection.
Pandemic Influenza A/H1N1 (2009 pH1N1) Vaccine
There were 1,390 specimens from all services and beneficiary groups for which 2009 pH1N1 vaccination data were available (cumulative for the season, beginning 4 Oct 2009). Of those, 109 (8%) were vaccinated greater than 14 days prior to specimen collection. Of those, seven (6%) received the nasal spray, 72 (66%) received an injection and 30 (28%) did not report vaccine type.
