USA - Sarin leak detected in central Kentucky munitions igloo - officials say no danger

Re: USA - Sarin leak detected in central Kentucky munitions igloo - officials say no danger

I wonder if the heat is related to the leaking.

The same igloo or igloo complex had a mustard leak in May. (I'm not sure if there were extreme hot temps around that time.)

Here's an article about a visit to a chemical weapons depot and it says they are climate-controlled:

So unless power were lost, (and I bet they have generators), I guess heat waves would be not be a factor. The article is reassuring since it seems like they would catch leaks when they are very, very tiny and they do have filters to put on the vents.

On the other hand, the article says find the source of leak is like looking for a needle in a haystack. The weapons are all supposed to be destroyed by 2021.
