A King County resident is being tested for possible Ebola.

The resident was under monitoring after having traveled recently to Mali.

The King County Public Health Department has said early symptoms are consistent with the common cold, and that Ebola is thought to be unlikely.

The resident developed a fever on Saturday.

The resident is being evaluated at Harborview and was immediately isolated. Ebola precautions are in place.

KIRO 7 will update this story with new information as it comes in.

On Sunday, King County health officials said initial test results came back negative for Ebola.

Doctors plan to run additional tests.

If necessary, a second test will be run to rule out Ebola on Monday.

The man will continue to be monitored.
