Not a political post. We have always been interested in who is selected to run the US health agencies.

I have no idea how he will do. It is not the first time a person with no medical degree is named head of HHS:

Kathleen Sebelius - Obama admin
Sylvia Mathews Burwell - Obama admin
Xavier Becerra - Biden admin
Mike Leavitt - Bush admin

No bashing please, however, we do post criticisms of various actions and policies when they are proposed/implemented, or lack thereof.

Wait and see mode.

We met Sebelius and leavett, This guy is definitely more outspoken. Maybe his heritage to history. I still haven’t heard very much about the current magic cow situation from him, but do see the effort to play catchup going on now.
Not enough fast enough. We are in trouble unless major changes happen soon. Still probably too late. If he doesn’t make them, then I’ll have to talk about it. Every day. :tank:

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

I am thrilled to announce Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as The United States Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). For too long, Americans have been crushed by the industrial food complex and drug companies who have engaged in deception, misinformation, and disinformation when it comes to Public Health. The Safety and Health of all Americans is the most important role of any Administration, and HHS will play a big role in helping ensure that everybody will be protected from harmful chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, pharmaceutical products, and food additives that have contributed to the overwhelming Health Crisis in this Country. Mr. Kennedy will restore these Agencies to the traditions of Gold Standard Scientific Research, and beacons of Transparency, to end the Chronic Disease epidemic, and to Make America Great and Healthy Again!

Don’t sound that crazy

Robert F. Kennedy Jr

@RobertKennedyJr
Thank you
@realDonaldTrump
for your leadership and courage. I'm committed to advancing your vision to Make America Healthy Again. We have a generational opportunity to bring together the greatest minds in science, medicine, industry, and government to put an end to the chronic disease epidemic. I look forward to working with the more than 80,000 employees at HHS to free the agencies from the smothering cloud of corporate capture so they can pursue their mission to make Americans once again the healthiest people on Earth. Together we will clean up corruption, stop the revolving door between industry and government, and return our health agencies to their rich tradition of gold-standard, evidence-based science. I will provide Americans with transparency and access to all the data so they can make informed choices for themselves and their families. My commitment to the American people is to be an honest public servant. Let’s go!

Maybe we will get another invite. Get your suit ready!

For people that don't know, we were invited to a couple of HHS avian flu, table top exercises for media in Washington D.C.. All of the US legacy media were there. We were representing social media - which was different for them. The gov. stars of public health were also in attendance but you were the most impressive! I remember somebody asking me which person was Treyfish because they wanted to personally meet you. I think it was someone with the US Coast Guard. I still have my name plates in a box somewhere. Then they dropped us like a hot potato to put all their efforts into the affordable care act. The pandemic HHS people drifted away. Their loss because we are damn fun! :)

Global health chiefs welcome RFK’s attack on junk food as ‘poison’ and the need for more exercise

With obesity rates soaring, many experts have been lobbying for better regulation of the US ‘industrial food complex’ for years

A senior WHO source said officials were considering Mr Kennedy’s positioning across a range of health subjects and that while some – notably vaccines – seemed problematic they were likely to be aligned on others, notably the need for nutritious food and exercise.
...
This week an American study disclosed that nearly three-quarters of American adults are overweight or obese, up from around half in 1990.

The weight gain is causing a growing burden of diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and shortening life expectancy.

A separate global analysis of worldwide diabetes rates released earlier this month found the incidence had exploded.

RFK JR: "The first thing I've done every morning for the past 20 years is to get on my knees and pray to God that He would put me in a position that end the chronic disease epidemic and to help America's children."

The senate just approved Kennedy as the new HHS secretary and it is expected the house will also approve and he will be sworn in today. I am not providing a link because they are so easy to google.

I know he was a controversial secretary choice but let's see what he actually enacts before making any comments. As everyone knows we have a long history of no bashing but we do discuss policies, programs, etc.

This site wishes him and his team well as we have all previous HHS secretaries.

We are not political. Our only agenda is public health.

Along with chronic disease and his other stated priorities I hope he takes a look at the current H5N1 situation. We need help.
