Montana (MT)- Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 Eurasian lineage goose/Guangdong clade 2.3.4.4b was confirmed in a wild striped skunk (Mephitis mephitis) and a wild mountain lion (Puma concolor). Rhode Island (RI)- Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 Eurasian lineage goose/Guangdong clade 2.3.4.4b was confirmed in a wild red fox (Vulpes vulpes). Nebraska (NE)- Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 Eurasian lineage goose/Guangdong clade 2.3.4.4b was confirmed in a wild mountain lion (Puma concolor). Wyoming (WY)- Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 Eurasian lineage goose/Guangdong clade 2.3.4.4b was confirmed in a wild mountain lion (Puma concolor).
