California (CA)- Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 Eurasian lineage goose/Guangdong clade 2.3.4.4b was confirmed in a wild raccoon (Procyon lotor) and a wild mountain lion (Puma concolor). New York (NY)- Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 Eurasian lineage goose/Guangdong clade 2.3.4.4b was confirmed in a wild red fox (Vulpes vulpes). Minnesota (MN)- Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 Eurasian lineage goose/Guangdong clade 2.3.4.4b was confirmed in a wild black bear (Ursus americanus).
