[h=2]First Report of a Verona Integron-Encoded Metallo-β-Lactamase-Producing Klebsiella pneumoniae Infection in a Child in the United States

Abstract[/h] [FONT=&quot]We report the first case of a child in the United States infected with an organism producing a Verona Integron-Encoded Metallo-β-Lactamase. This child succumbed to a ventilator-associated pneumonia caused by a Klebsiella pneumoniae producing this resistance mechanism.[/FONT]
